What are the differences between organic and recycled materials?
Organic materials are made from natural fibres. These are plant fibres that are grown without the use of pesticides or insecticides. And among the most popular ecological materials, we have of course organic cotton. It is the most frequently used organic fiber.
In contrast to organic materials, recycled fabrics are made from waste materials such as plastic, bottles or fishing nets. The waste is shredded and then recovered to make synthetic fibres such as polyester.
What are the benefits of sustainable fashion?
Eco-responsible menswear brands create their collections from organic, eco-friendly or recycled materials in France, Europe or in certified factories elsewhere. In addition to being transparent in terms of traceability, ethical fashion is also more sustainable and qualitative. Organic and recycled underwear can be softer and more resistant. Recycled underwear
As you will probably already know, recycled underwear is made with fabric made from plastic waste. This plastic waste is transformed into synthetic fibres and then made into fabric.
The Spanish brand ES Collection is particularly successful with its Recycled Rib collection and its Eco Shiny collection. The former offers various models of briefs, shorties, thongs, but also tank tops and bodysuits designed in recycled ribbed stretch microfibre. The Eco Shiny collection offers briefs and trubks made of shiny and recycled microfibre.

But ES Collection is not the only brand using materials made from recycling waste. Pump! Underwear is also making its eco-friendly debut this year with the Drip collection. The brand offers a modern line made of stretch microfibre recycled from plastic bottles. Each model is printed with a multi-coloured graffiti pattern made using a waterless eco-process. The fabric is highly resistant to pilling, heat, perspiration and sunlight (UPF 50+). A perfect fit!
